Stay the Night

Looking to Stay the Night in one of our forests? Our Stay the Night scheme now runs right through the year.

This means self-contained motorhomes and campervans can park overnight for one night in some of our car parks.

Plan your stay

Which vehicles can stay

Stay the Night is only for vehicles that include accommodation and toilet facilities, such as:

  • self-contained motorhomes
  • campervans

Pop-up tents or toilets beside vehicles are not allowed.

Only nine participating car parks are suitable for large vehicles (over 7m length and caravans). At sites that permit caravans, capacity is limited, and they take up two spaces. Check the details for specific car parks before travelling.

Please note, the Stay the Night scheme operates on a first come first served basis.

When you can stay

Throughout the year. However, over winter a reduction in the number of participating car parks. We may also have to make changes during the year, so always check our Stay the Night destination list for up-to-date information.
