Dyemill Land Management Plan
Dyemill Land Management Plan navigation
The Dyemill Land Management unit is located on the east side of the island of Arran between Lamlash and Whiting Bay. Covering an area of 1267 ha, the area comprises of a mix of commercial coniferous plantations, native broadleaved woodland, and open ground.
Forestry and Land Scotland is currently revising this land management plan, that will define the management prescription for the ten-year period between (2025 to 2035), and presents a long-term vision for the area.
This plan has now been submitted to Scottish Forestry for approval and any comments regarding the plans should be made to Scottish Forestry.
Have your say
Scoping consultation with stakeholders (including the local community) is a requirement of the land management planning process but it is also a valuable opportunity for us to engage with the public, talk about our work, and discover what's important to you.
A public consultation drop-in event was held in Whiting Bay in April 2025, and an online survey offered an alternative consultation method, however this survey is no longer accepting responses. As per the information above, any further comments regarding the plans should be directed to Scottish Forestry.
