Some sites are over 8,000 years old with flint scatters left by Mesolithic hunter-gatherers. Other sites, like the anti-tank defences along the Moray coast, tell a more recent history. You'll find some familiar landmarks and some that have only been recently discovered. Many more may survive as a mystery - unknown and unrecorded.
