Fresh air, being out in nature and watching for wildlife can be a great way to recharge your batteries.

Whether you’re walking, using a wheelchair or scooter, or pushing a buggy, we have a trail for you.

Blue badge parking

Blue Badge parking


Blue Badge holders can park for free in any of our car parks. 


Some of our forests have marked accessible parking spaces. Check the forest pages for information on what’s available at each site. 

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets


Accessible toilets include additional space for wheelchair manoeuvring and assisted transfer, grab rails and accessible washbasins.

Changing places

Changing Places Toilets


Changing Places Toilets are large, accessible facilities for people with limited mobility or complex disabilities.


They provide plenty of space for carers, and include equipment such as height adjustable adult changing benches and basins, hoists and accessible toilets.

Our easy most accessible trails are our easiest trails and suitable for most abilities including wheelchairs and buggies.


Our easy trails are generally very accessible too, more information will be provided within each trail description or in our trail grading page.

We use a trail-grading system to describe trail terrain, conditions and features of each trail.

Our easy most accessible trails are our easiest trails and suitable for most abilities including wheelchairs and buggies. Most of our easy trails are generally very accessible too, and both easy and some moderate trails are suitable for mobility scooters.

We have two electric mobility scooters available to use during your next visit to the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre.
